Meet Don, Co-Owner of Hite Photo Studios and 3rd generation Hite. He’s our Tech Specialist and continuously works to improve our systems to get Hite customers the best products possible. In his spare time, he tests out new technologies on his car and on the golf course. Don is proud to be part of The Hite Photo Team.
Tom, Co-Owner of Hite Photo Studios
Meet Tom, Co-Owner of Hite Photo Studios and 3rd generation Hite. He has been shooting professionally for over 30 years and is a former team photographer for both the Red Wings and the Tigers. Tom is our main wedding and events photographer. Book your next event with him!
Julia, Creative Director
Julia is a hard-working, detail-oriented individual who carries forward a rich family legacy as a fourth-generation Hite. She graduated from Oakland University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She’s an expert in specialty archiving, film processing, and photo restoration. Her keen eye for detail and dedication to preserving memories make her an invaluable asset in her field. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading science fiction books, and spending time with her loved ones.
Elyse, Design Strategist
Elyse has honed her skills over several years at Hite Photo in addition to her studio art, photography, graphic design, and English studies at Oakland University. She has excelled as our wide-format, canvas, and fine art specialist. Her extensive experience ensure that every project she undertakes is executed with precision and ingenuity. Whether you’re looking to recreate your artwork with meticulous attention to detail or transform cherished memories into stunning wall art, Elyse is here to guide you through the process. Outside of work hours, Elyse has a deep love for making costumes and photographing cosplayers. This hobby allows her to explore another facet of her imagination. She has also recently started her own art business on the side, selling at anime and comic conventions on the weekends.
Kelsey, Director of Photography
Kelsey is a remarkably talented individual whose passion for photography is evident in every frame she captures and prints. As a photographer, editor, and printer, Kelsey has honed her skills to a fine art, seamlessly blending technical expertise with a unique creative vision. Beyond her technical abilities, Kelsey’s passion for photography is deeply intertwined with her love of connecting with people. Whether editing a photo to perfection or ensuring the highest quality in print, Kelsey’s dedication to her craft and to her clients shines through. She is a 2018 College for Creative Studies graduate and 2019 Documenting Detroit Fellow. She has had her photography displayed in The Detroit Historical Museum, The Scarab Club, The Oakland Press, and many others. In her downtime, Kelsey is an avid reader and enjoys unwinding with episodes of The Office.
Ava
Ava is committed to excellence and delivers high-quality work consistently. From bringing a customers’ vision to life to preserving precious memories, Ava demonstrates her dedication, creativity, and attention to detail. Her customer service, positivity, and growth mindset shine through her welcoming aura. Each project she embarks on reflects her unwavering dedication, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. Ava is a recent graduate of Wayne State University, and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Photography. In her free time Ava enjoys yoga, listening to music, and reading tarot!
Devon
Devon (they/them) has always had a lifelong passion for the arts, and is a self-taught artist who specializes in mixed media, frequently incorporating photography. At Hite, their dedication to exceptional customer service ensures that
customers’ visions come to life. As a multimedia specialist, Devon works on various projects including archiving, photo restoration, graphic design, and film development. With a degree in Sociology from Michigan State University, their studies focused on women, gender, and youth studies. In their leisure time, Devon enjoys playing with their rabbit, swimming, creating art, and spending quality time with family.
Catherine
Meet Catherine, a talented individual holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wayne State University, specializing in Photography. Visit her for professional photo retouching and restoring, modern design services, or engaging discussions on digital and film experimental photography. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, creative design flair, and welcoming demeanor, Catherine ensures a remarkable experience for every guest. In addition to her experience in photography, she is a singer/songwriter who finds joy in exploring nature trails and watching films.

Meet Ahtziri, a Wayne State graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a concentration in Photography. Ahtziri is dedicated to translating your design concepts into reality. With a keen interest in preserving history, she is eager to discuss restoration and archiving with you. Ahtziri’s meticulous attention to detail and strong commitment to preserving precious memories are evident in her work, where she seamlessly intertwines her passion for history and photography into her craft. In her free time, Ahtziri enjoys working in different mediums, such as clay and alternative photographic processes.
